Someone who buys a bike comes back for lights, for a service, and in a few years for another bike. Good email marketing keeps that relationship going using data the shop already has, and it costs almost nothing to send. Kildemoes already pays for Klaviyo. Right now it sends nothing at all.
We signed up twice, on 22 and 23 September, from normal consumer inboxes. This is the form a customer sees.
The form works. A real confirmation page loads, but the subscriber doesn't get an email confirmation.
Everything above came from the public site and an empty inbox. We had no access to the Klaviyo account, so there are things we have not claimed.
We know nothing arrived in four days. Whether a flow is missing, unfinished, or live but not delivering, only the account shows.
If it does, and the thank you page never mentions it, that alone would explain the silence.
The form collects it. Whether it reaches the profile is not visible from outside.
Open rates, list size, unsubscribes and domain authentication all need account access.
We pulled every trigger a shop normally reacts to, and logged what came back.
Klaviyo is properly installed. It loads on every page, the sign-up form is Klaviyo's own, and the official Magento plugin is in place. But the shop only tells Klaviyo who you are. It never tells it what you did.
# Loading on every page klaviyo.js 200 account YvUpXK Klaviyo plugin for Magento 200 # When you open a product page POST /client/profiles/ 202 (who you are) Viewed Product never sent # When you add a 5.199 kr bike to the cart Microsoft Clarity 204 OpenAI shopping tag sent Added to Cart never sent
This matters because cart and browse reminders only start when those two signals arrive. No signal means no email, whatever is set up inside the account. So these flows are not switched off. They cannot run at all until the signals are fixed.
List growth is the first job. Today the shop only captures people who hunt for the sign-up page. One well timed pop-up usually does more for a list than everything else combined.
After 10 seconds, or once a visitor scrolls half a page. Once every 30 days. Never during checkout.
Email, first name, and one question: are you looking at an e-bike, a bike, a children's bike or accessories.
That single answer is what lets every later email be about the right kind of bike instead of all of them.
How the pop-up can look in practice. The sign-up, the interest question, and the confirmation page.

These run by themselves once built. Two can be built today. Cart, browse and checkout abandonment wait on the tracking fix, and back in stock needs a button on the product page.
| Flow | Starts when | Timing | Can we build it today |
|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome Flow3 emails | Someone signs up | Now, +2 days, +5 days | Yes |
| Browse Abandonment2 emails | A product page is viewed | +4h, +24h | After the tracking fix |
| Cart Abandonment3 emails | A bike is left in the cart | +1h, +24h, +72h | After the tracking fix |
| Checkout Abandonment2 emails | Checkout is started and not finished | +1h, +24h | After the tracking fix |
| Back in Stock1 email | An out of stock bike comes back | When it restocks | Needs a button on the product page |
| Post Purchase2 emails | An order is placed | +1 day, +14 days | Yes |
How the first email of the Welcome Flow can look. The sign-up name is used, the interest question decides the bikes shown.

One useful email and one commercial email, every week, sent to the right group rather than the whole list. A Danish bike brand has an obvious autumn calendar and it is currently unused.
| Weeks | The useful one | The commercial one |
|---|---|---|
| Late September | How to pick your frame size | End of season e-bike stock |
| October | Lights and being seen in the dark | Lights, mudguards and locks |
| November | Getting a bike through a Danish winter | Black Friday, and winter tyres |
| December | Which children's bike fits which age | Christmas, children's bikes and gift cards |
| January | Winter storage and a service check | Book a spring service now |
| February | What is new for the coming season | New season e-bikes, early access |
The sequence matters more than the list. Building cart and browse reminders before the signals are fixed produces flows that never send.
Get the product view and add to cart signals reaching Klaviyo again, then check it in the browser rather than in the settings screen. Everything valuable depends on this.
Put the pop-up live to start growing the list, and send the three welcome emails. Neither waits on step 1, so these can start immediately.
The two highest earning flows in any shop. They become possible the day step 1 is done.
After the purchase, service reminders, win-back, and the weekly campaign calendar running to groups rather than the whole list.
The work described in this plan is the same work we run for other shops. A few examples.
